Center court of the Schuykill Mall was bursting with life this Saturday, August 13 and Sunday August 14. Lithuanian Americans from across the state and around the nation came together to celebrate Lithuanian Days which is the LONGEST running ethnic festival in the USA! There was plenty of traditional Lithuanian food, folk dancers from Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Mahanoy City, singers, and vendors selling Lithuanian treasures.
Lithuanian Days also featured a Heritage Room with exhibits about Lithuanians in Sports and Folk Art. A Genealogy expert was also on hand to answer questions about researching family history and a puppeteer who preformed the Little Mermaid. Thank you to all who celebrated, participated and helped with Lithuanian Days! It was a great success! ACIU LABAI from the Knights of Lithuania C-144!
