The Knights of Lithuania Council #144 celebrated their Saint Casimir's Day Dinner at the Annunciation Hall in Frackville, PA. Selected members were given their First and Second Degrees during Mass and the dinner that followed was given in their honor. The guest speaker was Natasha Eisenhart. She is a Senior at Susquehanna University and will graduate this May with a BA degree in History with an emphasis in European Studies. She gave a fabulous presentation on the history of Lithuanian Days and why the ethnic festival is still running strong today. Members of the Knights of Lithuania were given their First and Second Degree. First Degree recipients included Jennifer Cox, Magdalynne Cox, Anthony Domalakes, Paul Luke Domalakes, Rosemary Gibas, Karl Krapf, Alvin Luschas, Christine Luschas, Alex Radzius, Asseneth Savitsky, Robert Savitsky, Thenessa Savitsky, John Usalis, and Vincent Vaise. Second Degree recipients included Joanne Antanavage, Shawn Bray, and Crystal Damalakes. Congratulations to the Degree Recipients and a special thanks to Natasha Eisenhart the guest speaker for the event! These delicious deep-fried treats are traditionally made on "Pancake Tuesday", the day before Lent begins.
